WIP is done!

I love writing, you know that? There is something about putting words out on a page and just seeing them create a story. It is more intense when you are doing it in a public forum, where people comment on what you are writing as you do it. In some ways, it can be both a blessing and a curse.

In this case, I think it was a blessing. I got to hear what people thought about my characters and make tiny adjustments to the plot. I found a bit more of my craft, how to make the lovable character and how to make a bastard. In some ways, it was a wonderful experience.

And, it shows that NaNoWriMo isn't really my thing. When I did Case of the Morning Zombies, I struggled for 50k words. For the one I just finished, I wrote 181k words in two months and one day (February 16 to April 16). And I love the story. I mean, it is a good story and I'm very proud of it.

I wrote for different reasons and I got such a different response. Of course, this won't fit in a book very well, nearly 200k words is a lot, so either I'm going to trim a lot of it, or find some other way of doing it. And its already "published" so that won't happen either. But, it doesn't matter, I felt good about writing it and I have this wonderful sense of euphoria right now that everything is going to work out.

God, I love writing fantasy and romance. :P
